A compassionate guide to decoding your creative blocks

Is your creative muse on vacation? Or maybe your Inner Critic sounds like a heavy-metal concert in your head? You’re not alone.

Each person’s creative process is personal, yet our mindblocks are eerily similar.

Based on insights from psychological research on creativity and the collective knowledge of our creative community, this book helps you unpack the (not-so-)mysterious world of mindblocks. It reflects on the nuanced challenges in a creative’s life, such as:

  • harnessing the psychology of inspiration;
  • battling the roadblock of perfectionism;
  • finding our authentic creative voice;
  • developing practices for gentle goal setting; and
  • fulfilling our human need for social belonging.

It goes beyond traditional self-growth advice, to share comforting pep-talks in the face of your creative mindblocks. Think of it like a series of conversations with a friend who gets it.

The flowchart is an excellent way to navigate the book

I recently wrote my first book, and there were days when I struggled with writer’s block. Inspired is a book specifically designed to help overcome these creative barriers, and it made me reflect on the mental blocks that arise during the writing process. The conversational writing style is highly engaging, making it a pleasure to read. Additionally, the chapter map at the beginning of the book offered a unique and interesting way to navigate through the content.

Like a friendly comforting hug

Some of the chapters read like Nishita is peeking into our (creative but messy) minds!

Very soothing articulation of our inner dialogue & experiences in the creative process. It is such a necessary & comforting aid for ANY kind of creative/artist to have especially during periods of introspection or unrest.

The book will hold you in its warm embrace 🙂
